What we collect

Information you give us. When you request a quote we ask for your name, email address, contact number, street address, suburb and postcode, the type of work you're after, how you heard about us, and a description of what you need done. We only ask for what we need to understand your project and get back to you.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we use analytics to understand how people find and use the site — pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived. This is aggregated and isn't used to identify you personally.

How we use it

To contact you about your enquiry and arrange a design consultation
To prepare a quote and, if you go ahead, to carry out the work
To understand which parts of our site are useful, so we can improve it

We do not send marketing emails you haven't asked for, and we never sell your information.

Who we share it with

Your enquiry is delivered to us through our own automation system and our email provider. We also use website hosting, analytics and advertising providers (Google and Meta) who process technical data on our behalf. These providers only handle your information to deliver those services to us.

We may also disclose information where required by law. Otherwise, we don't share your details with anyone else.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to measure site usage. These set cookies in your browser. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings — the site will still work, we just won't see the visit in our statistics.

Google Ads and the Meta pixel. We use Google Ads tags and Meta's pixel (Meta runs Facebook and Instagram). They set cookies and tell Google and Meta when you visit a page on our site, tap our phone number or send an enquiry. We use this to measure which of our ads work, and so our ads can be shown to people who have visited our site. We don't send Google or Meta your name, email address or phone number. You can adjust the ads you see in your Google, Facebook or Instagram ad settings, or block these cookies in your browser.

Advertising. If you reach our site by clicking one of our online ads (for example on Google or Facebook), the link carries a reference to that ad click. We also note which website sent you here (for example a Google search or a Facebook post), and the first page you visited and when. Your browser remembers this for up to 90 days. If you then send us an enquiry, it's sent with it, so we can tell which of our advertising leads to enquiries and jobs. We may share the ad click reference with Google or Meta to measure how our ads perform. We don't give them your name or contact details for this.

Videos. Project films are hosted on YouTube. We load them only after you click play, so YouTube doesn't set cookies or track you unless you choose to watch. The short background video on our home page is served from our own site and sets no cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to respond, deliver any work, and meet our record-keeping obligations. If you'd like your details removed and we're not required to keep them, just ask.

Keeping it secure

This site is served over HTTPS, so information you submit is encrypted in transit. We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit access to your details to the people who need it.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us on 1300 789 169 or accounts@aussieoutdoorliving.com.au and we'll help.

Concerns

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. If we can't resolve it, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

If we change how we handle personal information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
