Aussie Outdoor Living is a family owned and run business established in 2005 by Chris Riley. With a combined 30 years’ experience in the design and construction of outdoor living and entertainment areas, we are The Hills Districts leading industry specialists. Chris has been designing custom tailored outdoor areas for over 15 years and has a wealth of invaluable knowledge and ideas.

Aussie Outdoor Living offer a 10 year structural warranty on all structures.

Who takes care of Council Approvals?

Aussie Outdoor Living takes care of all plans, drawings and paperwork required. Too easy!

Does Aussie Outdoor Living use contractors?

Aussie Outdoor Living does not use contractors unlike others in the market place. All staff are full time employees, so you have peace of mind that your job will be started and completed with dedicated and expertly trained carpenters.

Does Aussie Outdoor Living have Home Owners Warranty?

Any projects over the amount of $20,000 are covered by our Home Owners Warranty Insurance. Aussie Outdoor Living takes care of all paperwork and forms, easy!

Yes, Aussie Outdoor Living is covered by $20mil Public Liability Insurance and all employees are covered by Workers Compensation.

DESIGN
STAGE 1

Design Consultation

We will arrange a design consultation with you to discuss your outdoor living and entertaining plans. We will complete a site analysis which will identify design solutions that capitalise on your homes strengths, opportunities and overcome any challenges presented such as bushfire prone land.

APPROVAL
STAGE 2

Council Approval

Many of our projects require some form of approval. We have developed a process that is easy for our client to navigate through this stage of the project. Depending on the type of approval required, this could take up to 6 - 8 weeks or 3 - 4 months.

CHECK MEASURE
STAGE 3

Check Measure

We will complete a final check measure of the project with you which involves finalising specifications, colours and any other aspects of your project. Upon final check measure, the materials required for the project will be ordered and the project will be added to the construction schedule.

CONSTRUCTION
STAGE 4

Start of Construction

One of expertly trained construction teams will commence construction of your project. Initial stages may require demolition and waste removal, excavation and general preparation of the area. Depending on the size of the project, construction may take a week to a number months.

COMPLETION
STAGE 5

Completion of Construction

When the construction team have finished and any additional trades have also completed their finishing touches (eg. electrician has finished installing new fans, lighting and motorised blinds) - the structure will be detailed and cleaned and any building waste or debris will be removed from the site.

No, Aussie Outdoor Living design, supply and install outdoor living and entertaining areas. We are unable to supply just materials.
Does Aussie Outdoor Living use timber for pergolas and decking?
In the past we used timber for our structures but as the building industry and available products evolved we have sourced a perfect alternative to timber for our structures. The timber-look aluminium which we offer our clients is more durable, reliable, longer lasting and requires far less maintenance than timber.
Can Aussie Outdoor Living repair my existing pergola?
We do not offer any repair work to existing pergolas or decks. We do not replace damaged/old roof sheets.
Who takes care of Council Approvals?
In short – we do! Many of our projects require some form of approval and we have made it super easy for our clients to navigate through this. We will introduce you to a leading specialist based in Castle Hill who will complete the entire approval process on your behalf.

COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Update & Changes to our Business



AOL is still open and operating as normal. Our Lifestyle showroom is currently open Monday -Friday from 8.00am to 4.00pm and Saturday from 10.00am to 3.00pm. We are continuing to work full steam ahead on the many building projects that are currently in the pipeline for our wonderful clients. It's still business as usual for our suppliers and approval services. There are no disruptions or issues with taking on new projects at this time.

Although the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation is constantly changing, our main priority remains unchanged - the health and safety of our staff and clients. We are closely monitoring advice from the Government and the Department of Health and checking daily for updates to safety advice.
