What a difference using the right materials makes! Our clients in Lane Cove had built a polycarbonate pergola which made the area extremely hot in summer and was not suited to their leafy location and aspect. The spotted gum deck had started to cup, warp and fade. With no other option to replace the entire thing! We utilised as much as space as we could which maximised their indoor/outdoor living and entertaining area.
Using an insulated roof pergola we were able to angle and span the whole area and add extra insulation which will cool that whole end of the house down. A beautiful aluminium deck was fitted so they had a seamless transition from indoor to out, aluminium screening for privacy and a double sided aluminium clad wall for their new BBQ to go against. Also fitted on all 5 sides were electric blinds which turns the whole area into a comfortable and usable room all year round!
