“What a pleasure to have dealt with such a professional outfit. We were in desperate need to create an outdoor living area, mainly just to improve our quality of life. We had some idea of what we wanted but weren’t completely sure of what we would of be able to do with the area we had. We knew the pergola was going to be the main structure and we wanted it done right! Out of the 3 quotes we received, one stood out. Chris from Aussie outdoor living….

Quite a few reasons they stood out and they are as follows:
1. He showed up for the quote exactly when he said he would. Not too common these days.
2. But not only did we receive a quote, we received a detailed insight on material choices and the pros and cons of each choice, we received multiple roofing structure options as well as suggestions from his own experience on what would work best for us and the reasons why. He even gave us his own opinion/vision on the entire area which was great as we weren’t completely there with the whole plan. It gave us some ideas and things we hadn’t thought of. We could tell he was very passionate about what he does and it was quite refreshing to see.
3. Once the choice was made he gave us a timeline as well as a very detailed structure of how everything worked, what was to be done and what materials and colours were going to be used. No hidden fine print.
4. Every step was followed to a tee! They even took care of organising the building drawing plans and all council applications forms.
5. Communication was top notch through the entire process. The materials were delivered on time and work commenced without delay.
6. The boys showed up and were very professional in their approach. They were polite and took no shortcuts. Every aspect of the build was followed exactly to specification and done very professionally. Quality of work was exceptional. Once the pergola was completed, they did a final inspection as part of their process, and to my surprise they even made some small improvements that weren’t necessary or noticed by me. Very happy with that! Not too many companies would take extra time out to do such things.

To sum up, the final product is so much more than we could of hoped for. It fits in perfectly with our house and is now the envy of all our friends. I am so glad I chose to deal with Aussie outdoor living, such a stress free and smooth experience.

Design
PHASE ONE

Design Consultation

During the design consultation, Chris will meet with you and discuss your outdoor living and entertaining plans. During this meeting Chris will undertake a site analysis to identify design solutions that capitalise on your homes strengths, opportunities, overcoming any area weaknesses and/or threats ie bushfire prone land. Chris will then brief you on possible design solutions and with your input will present a concept design. This concept design will then be presented in a detailed proposal with specifications and pricing for your perusal.

Approval
PHASE TWO

Council Approval

Many of our projects require some form of approval and we have made it super easy for our clients to navigate through this. We will introduce you to a leading specialist based in Castle Hill who will complete the entire approval process on your behalf. Depending on the type of approval, this could take up to 6 - 8 weeks or 3 - 4 months. If you have had any previous renovations completed on your home – we will request copies of approval documents, drawings, plans and surveys as these can be used to expedite the preliminary stages of the approval process.

Check Measure

Once the project has been Council approved (if it was required), Matt Tooke, our Construction Manager will arrange a final check measure of the project. Matt will ring to organise a time to come out and finalise details of your contracted works. Matt will go over the design, finalise the colours, check measurements and clarify any other aspects of your project. Once the check measure has been completed, the materials for your project will then be ordered, and your project will be placed in the construction calendar waiting to commence! Matt will advise an anticipated construction start date or approximate wait time before construction will commence.

PHASE FOUR

Start of Construction

Matt will call you when all materials are ready to confirm a start date. We will then appoint one of our expertly trained construction teams to your project. Materials will be delivered to your home and unloaded. The construction team will then start prepping the area. This may include demolishing and removing any existing structures. Taking their time, once the area if fully prepared - the team will start prepping beams and posts, dig out footings, start framework etc. Construction may take 4 days to 8 weeks, depending on the size of the project!

Completion
PHASE FIVE

Completion of Construction

Matt will communicate with you throughout the construction process. He will keep you closely updated as to when your new outdoor living and entertaining area will be completed. When our construction team have finished and any additional trades have also completed their finishing touches (eg electrician has finished installing new fans, lighting and motorised blinds) - the structure will be detailed and cleaned. It is also at this point that any remaining building debris and waste will be removed. We will not consider your project complete until Matt, the Construction Manager has conducted a final inspection. When Matt advises your works are complete – we will issue a final invoice and provide information on the “after-care” of your building structure.

Does Aussie Outdoor Living supply material only?
No, Aussie Outdoor Living design, supply and install outdoor living and entertaining areas. We are unable to supply just materials.
Does Aussie Outdoor Living use timber for pergolas and decking?
In the past we used timber for our structures but as the building industry and available products evolved we have sourced a perfect alternative to timber for our structures. The timber-look aluminium which we offer our clients is more durable, reliable, longer lasting and requires far less maintenance than timber.
Can Aussie Outdoor Living repair my existing pergola?
We do not offer any repair work to existing pergolas or decks. We do not replace damaged/old roof sheets.

COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Update & Changes to our Business



AOL is still open and operating as normal. Our Lifestyle showroom is currently open Monday -Friday from 8.00am to 4.00pm and Saturday from 10.00am to 3.00pm. We are continuing to work full steam ahead on the many building projects that are currently in the pipeline for our wonderful clients. It's still business as usual for our suppliers and approval services. There are no disruptions or issues with taking on new projects at this time.

Although the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation is constantly changing, our main priority remains unchanged - the health and safety of our staff and clients. We are closely monitoring advice from the Government and the Department of Health and checking daily for updates to safety advice.
