Outdoor Living in Ryde

Ryde is one of those Sydney suburbs that has changed considerably in the last few years. One thing that has remained constant though. Whether you live in the busy shopping areas or the side streets lined with trees, it’s always nice to come home to a welcoming outdoor area that caters for all your needs. An area to just ‘be’ in the morning or evening, to enjoy a hot cuppa, to teach your kids to paint or to catch up on the latest gossip with friends. But with so many options on the market for decking, patios and pergolas, you will need professional advice and experience to ensure the space you have is functional and maximised to it’s potential.

Make the Most of Your Space

You may have an abundance of ideas as to how you’d like your outdoor living area to look, but Aussie Outdoor Living are the experts to help you tie it all together. Family owned and operated we don’t use contractors which enables us to be directly involved with your project the whole way through. Let us provide solutions to suit your lifestyle and expectations and make it come to life. We are HIA member, offer a 10year warranty on our workmanship and have won awards for our customer service. Our designs are constantly inspirational providing a real wow factor.

Products With Benefits to Boot

Specialising in patios and pergolas, we love working with materials with numerous benefits. We recommend polycarbonate roofing for it’s UV resistance, 15 year warranty and high impact is all weather conditions. Colourbond roofing gives lovely textural feel and comes in a range of colours, whilst insulated roofing offers fantastic noise, condensation and heat reduction. Throw in a comfy outdoor lounge, chic outdoor fans and strategic lighting and you’ve got an ideal day or night outdoor living area

Ain’t Nobody Got Time for Maintenance!

Any home improvement is simply not complete without some sleek outdoor decking. We are all about keeping things low maintenance whilst remaining stylish and modern. Living in an area like Ryde, with a busy lifestyle, no doubt you rarely have time for mowing lawns or cleaning up dirt flowing into the house. We therefore highly recommend aluminium decking for its low maintenance qualities…no staining, no oiling and no painting. It also doesn’t warp, splint, rot, fade or crack and it environmentally friendly. What more could you ask for! A set and forget deck. Another option is Merbau hardwood, which has proven to be extremely durable in all weather conditions, and when finished with our special fixing system, there are no visible nails and the end product is sleek and clean.

AUSSIE OUTDOOR LIVING'S PROCESS

1
Design
PHASE ONE

Design Consultation

During the design consultation, Chris will meet with you and discuss your outdoor living and entertaining plans. During this meeting Chris will undertake a site analysis to identify design solutions that capitalise on your homes strengths, opportunities, overcoming any area weaknesses and/or threats ie bushfire prone land. Chris will then brief you on possible design solutions and with your input will present a concept design. This concept design will then be presented in a detailed proposal with specifications and pricing for your perusal.
2
Approval
PHASE TWO

Council Approval

Many of our projects require some form of approval and we have made it super easy for our clients to navigate through this. We will introduce you to a leading specialist based in Castle Hill who will complete the entire approval process on your behalf. Depending on the type of approval, this could take up to 6 - 8 weeks or 3 - 4 months. If you have had any previous renovations completed on your home – we will request copies of approval documents, drawings, plans and surveys as these can be used to expedite the preliminary stages of the approval process.
3
Check Measure
PHASE THREE

Check Measure

Once the project has been Council approved (if it was required), Matt Tooke, our Construction Manager will arrange a final check measure of the project. Matt will ring to organise a time to come out and finalise details of your contracted works. Matt will go over the design, finalise the colours, check measurements and clarify any other aspects of your project. Once the check measure has been completed, the materials for your project will then be ordered, and your project will be placed in the construction calendar waiting to commence! Matt will advise an anticipated construction start date or approximate wait time before construction will commence.
4
Construction
PHASE FOUR

Start of Construction

Matt will call you when all materials are ready to confirm a start date. We will then appoint one of our expertly trained construction teams to your project. Materials will be delivered to your home and unloaded. The construction team will then start prepping the area. This may include demolishing and removing any existing structures. Taking their time, once the area if fully prepared - the team will start prepping beams and posts, dig out footings, start framework etc. Construction may take 4 days to 8 weeks, depending on the size of the project!
5
Completion
PHASE FIVE

Completion of Construction

Matt will communicate with you throughout the construction process. He will keep you closely updated as to when your new outdoor living and entertaining area will be completed. When our construction team have finished and any additional trades have also completed their finishing touches (eg electrician has finished installing new fans, lighting and motorised blinds) - the structure will be detailed and cleaned. It is also at this point that any remaining building debris and waste will be removed. We will not consider your project complete until Matt, the Construction Manager has conducted a final inspection. When Matt advises your works are complete – we will issue a final invoice and provide information on the “after-care” of your building structure.
